At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for delivery in current month (June) dropped by Rs 55, or 1.39 per cent to Rs 3,900 per quintal, with an open interest of 64,520 lots.
Also, most active delivery in July month fell by Rs 55, or 1.34 per cent, to Rs 4,037 per quintal and open interest stood at 1,83,290 lots.
Marketmen said besides weak cues from physical markets, profit-taking by speculators at current levels, mainly dragged down castorseed prices in futures trade.
