Meanwhile, rest all other edible and non-edible oils, including groundnutoil, refined palmolein, castorseeds bold, castoroil commercial and linseedoil traded steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnutoil and Refined palmolein closed unchanged at Rs 1,250 and Rs 620 per 10 kg. And in non-edible segment, castorseeds bold were unaltered at Rs 4200 per 100 kg. Castoroil commercial and linseedoil ruled stable at Rs 870 and Rs 830 per 10 kg, respectively.
Turning to futures, castorseeds for the September contract opened lower at Rs 4,500, later hovered in a range of Rs 4,611 and Rs 4,520 before settling at Rs 4,601 as against Rs 4,525 previously, showing a net gain of Rs 76 per tonne.
