Caterpillar launches 2 new products in India

Construction equipment major Caterpillar today announced the launch of two new products in India, gearing up to meet an expected demand, especially from the road construction segment.
The company launched its new Cat 320D2 GC Hydraulic Excavator and 950L Wheel Loader to add to its portfolio in these segments in the Indian market.
With the government of India's focus on construction projects especially in the road and highway sectors, it is expected that the introduction of these products will help customers to meet the growing demand, enabling faster and more efficient implementation of their projects, the company said in a statement.

Commenting on the introduction of new products, Caterpillar India Country Head and Managing Director Vivekanand Vanmeeganathan said: "Going forward, we expect increasing demand for more efficient and technologically superior products, especially in the road construction segment with the government setting ambitious per-day construction targets."
The company is fully prepared to meet this demand by bringing in the required products and technological solutions to the Indian market from its global product portfolio, he added.
The new Cat 320D2GC Hydraulic Excavator will be produced at Caterpillar India's manufacturing facility at Thiruvallur in Tamil Nadu.
Caterpillar manufactures construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives.

It currently has five production facilities spread across Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. These facilities manufacture a wide range of machines and equipment. It also exports to various countries in South East Asia, and Africa.
