Chandolia, who is deposing as a witness to defend himself in the ongoing 2G spectrum allocation case trial, also alleged that during the investigation, CBI had told him that he should become a witness and give statement against Raja.
"I was told (by CBI) that I should become a witness and give statement against A Raja that I had instructed A K Srivastava (the then DoT official) for setting up of four counters for distribution of LoIs (letters of intent), for allotment of spectrum to Swan Telecom in Delhi circle and initiation of a note for stopping receiving of applications in September 2007.
He told the court that his house was searched on December 8, 2010 and he was called for interrogation on the subsequent dates in the CBI office.
"CBI used oral instructions route to take statements of A K Srivastava, Aseervatham Achary and R P Aggarwal, to implicate me in the case," he said.
Chandolia's recording of statement remained inconclusive and would continue tomorrow.
Chandolia, A Raja and others, including DMK MP Kanimozhi, are facing trial for their alleged roles in the 2G spectrum allocation scam case.
