School principal, cops caught red handed accepting bribes

A government school principal and an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police were caught red-handed accepting bribes from two different people by the Lokayukta police.
School principal Deepak Dixit was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 from contractual teacher Rakesh Mavi in Hatod town of Dhar district, Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Virendra Singh told PTI.
Allegedly, the principal had demanded a bribe to release Mavi's three months' honorarium and had already taken Rs 2,000 from him in this regard.
In a separate case, ASI David Kevad was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from Poonam Singh Hatila for settling a case of manhandling.
The ASI had allegedly demanded a bribe from Hatila for submitting his case to court, the SP said.
