CBI has registered a corruption case against a Deputy Chief Engineer of the railways for allegedly amassing assets of Rs 64.22 lakhs disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The agency has filed the FIR against A Satish, the then Senior Divisional Engineer posted at Guntu and at present working as Dy. Chief Engineer (Design) in Guwahati, for alleged possession of disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 64.22 lakhs, it said today.
"It was alleged that the public servant while working as Senior Divisional Engineer, South Central Railway, Guntur Division, during the period from April 1, 2008 to December 30, 2015, had allegedly acquired movable and immovable assets in his name and in the names of his family members to the tune of Rs 64.62 lakhs, which were disproportionate to his known sources of income," CBI Press Information Officer R K Gaur said here.
