The meeting is expected to be briefed by Defence Minister A K Antony about yesterday's incident in Poonch and the prevailing situation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, sources said here.
Antony today told Parliament that he was awaiting an update on the situation from Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh, who travelled there and returned to Delhi this evening. He will brief the top leadership of the Government tomorrow.
He reviewed the security situation at Akhnoor-based 10 Division with commanders of the forward areas, Army officials said. The Army Chief will revisit the area soon.
