A release from Commercial Taxes Department of Puducherry said that VishvajitSahay who is the nodal officer appointed by the Centre to monitor the implementation of the new tax regime in Puducherry interacted with traders, manufacturers and consumers' outfits and also officials of Puducherry government and Central Excise to take stock of the implementation of the GST in Puducherry.
The release said that delegates of the consumers associations wanted that an awareness programme be held for them so that they would be able to disseminate information on various features of the GST to common man.
He also clarified certain aspects of the GST in response to the queries raised by traders at the meeting.
