The team reviewed the security situation, cross-border infiltration and measures taken by the security grid in Jammu and Kashmir to tackle militancy, an official spokesman said.
The Central team, including Defence Secretary Shashi Kant Sharma and Additional Secretary (Home) K Skandan, was briefed by senior district, police and CRPF officials about the security scenario, including law and order, in the state.
The special rehabilitation scheme for surrendered militants and people comimg back to the state from across the border also came up for discussions at the meeting.
The Union Cabinet Secretary also called on Governor N N Vohra and discussed matters pertaining to security management in the state, the spokesman said.
