Centre asks Meghalaya to submit utilisation certificates on

Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri has asked the Meghalaya government to submit utilisation certificates on time to ensure smooth flow of central funds into the state.

The Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs on Friday also held a series of meetings here with Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and with officials of departments concerned, a statement from the CMO said.

"The Union minister discussed matters related to key infrastructure projects to be initiated in the state and also reviewed the progress of all the flagship projects under the Ministry of Urban Affairs which are being implemented in Meghalaya," the statement said.

While assuring full cooperation and support from the Centre, the Union minister urged the state government to complete all pending projects that are being implemented in the state, under various schemes funded by the central government.
