Centre releases 45,000 Mt tur daal for Maharashtra

The daal would be sold to the ration card holders at the rate of Rs 95 per kilo

Maharashtra Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Ravindra Chavan on Sunday said the Centre had made available 45,000 Mt of tur daal for the state from the buffer stock.

Launching sale of tur daal at low rates at a mall in Dombivli in the district this morning, Chavan said the stock procured from the Union government would be sold to the ration card holders at the rate of Rs 95 per kilo.

The government was taking action against the hoarders, he added.
