Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today urged the Centre to release Rs 2,530 crore to carry out road projects in the state.
A detailed project report has already been prepared to lay 1,110 km road, an official release quoting Das said here.
Urging the Union Ministries of Home and Road Construction to release the funds to speed up construction of roads, Das said 21 of the 24 districts in the state were Maoist-affected and normal life becomes difficult without proper roads.
He also said roads would help economic and social development in the remote areas of Jharkhand.
