The company's net profit was Rs 151 crore in first quarter of 2014-15, the CESC Ltd said in a BSE filing today.
According to the statement, the company's total income in the April-June period of the current financial year declined to Rs 1,704 crore, as against Rs 1,863 crore a year-ago.
The company is engaged in generation and transmission of electricity and does not operate in any other reportable segment, it added.
Shares of the company were trading at Rs 570 per unit, down 0.13 per cent, on the BSE this afternoon.
