The Sashastra Seema Bal today arrested a man in East Champaran district and seized 20 kg of charas worth Rs 2 crore in the international market from his possession, an SSB official said.
Bihari Lal (55), a resident of Hasanpur village in East Champaran district, was caught by SSB personnel from the vicinity of a railway station here when he was about to board a train to Delhi, Commandant of SSB's 47th Battalion Sonam Chering said.
The contraband was kept in 20 packets, each of which contained a kilogramme of charas.
The Commandant said Lal has known to be involved in drug peddling for long and he had recently released from Tihar Jail in Delhi where he had been lodged in connection with a drug related case.
The accused has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau.
