Charge sheet in 'Pottu' Suresh murder case filed

The police today filed before a local court the charge sheet in the nearly two-year-old murder case pertaining to 'Pottu' Suresh who was a close confidant of former Union Minister M K Alagiri.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Manmathapandian filed the charge sheet which has documentary evidence and statements recorded from 117 witnesses before Judicial Magistrate IV.
Suresh was hacked to death here by a gang on January 31 2013. Seventeen persons, including 'Attack' Pandi, the main accused, were arrested.
The case was transferred to the CB-CID on the orders of the DGP.
The Judicial Magistrate IV, who was incharge of JM III court, posted the case for hearing without mentioning any date.
