Charlize Theron hopeful about AIDS eradication

Actress Charlize Theron, who heads an African organisation to fight AIDS, is optimistic that eradication of the sexually transmitted diease is possible.
The 37-year-old "The Devil's Advocate" star recently visited Youth Ambassador Project in South Africa where she emphasised on the role of young people in fighting the disease, reported Contactmusic.
"When I see the enthusiasm and dedication of these young people, who are making such a vital contribution to preventing the spread of HIV with support from the Global Fund, I am fired up with hope and optimism," she said.
"We have made great strides in the fight against the disease in a short number of years and we are getting closer to finally defeating this pandemic. With the necessary funding, we can be the generation that defeats AIDS. The moment is right now," she added.

Youth Ambassador Project trains people in KwaZulu Natal province to spread information for removal of the deadly disease.
Theron herself formulated Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project in 2007, so as to engage African youth in preventing and eradicating AIDS.
