Eighty-five-year-old Singh passed away last night at Max Hospital in Saket.
Singh suffered a heart attack while participating in a party programme on Mahaparinirvan Diwas on December 6, the death anniversary of B R Ambedkar, said Delhi Congress leader Chatar Singh.
His mortal remains were kept at the Delhi Congress office for leaders and workers to pay homage.
Among those who attended his funeral were Ghulam Nabi Azad, Oscar Fernandes, Ajay Maken and Sheila Dikshit.
Singh holds a record of not losing any election from 1956 to 2008. He started his political career as a councillor of municipal corporation and went on to serve twice as Speaker of the Delhi Assembly.
