27-year-old Lala Ram was nabbed on his way to his cousin's residence in Dakshinpuri, the police said today. Rs 12.19 lakh of stolen money was recovered from him.
On April 25 evening, Ram fled with the money when his employer Sunil Dahuja was shopping in the South Extension market, leaving his car at the parking lot with Ram.
On receiving a complaint, Delhi Police swung into action and found that Ram had given fake address of a village in Bulandshehar in Uttar Pradesh in his employment documents.
During interrogation, Ram confessed to the crime.
