Chautala, in a letter to Khattar alleged that Hooda had "blatantly misused state power" to pass a law providing government accommodation for former Chief Ministers along with other facilities like government vehicle and staff in Chandigarh during his tenure, at a time when it was clear that Congress would be ousted from power.
"Reading the writing on the wall, Hooda had planned a post-Chief Ministerial life in Chandigarh, a city he had got used to during his tenure of ten years," Chautala wrote.
In the letter, Chautala, who is Leader of the Opposition, also mentioned about the recent Jat reservation agitation.
"Hooda's alleged role in aiding and abetting unruly and disruptive elements involved in loot and arson incidents in the recent reservation agitation is well known to the people of the State.
He, therefore, does not deserve to be alloted any government residence equivalent to the rank of a Cabinet Minister. You are therefore requested to revoke the provisions for such house allotments, government vehicle and staff and spare the burden on the people of Haryana," Chautala wrote.
