With the arrest of nine people, police today claimed to have busted a gang which used to promise aspirants guaranteed selection in the Rajasthan police constable recruitment examination in return of huge amounts of money.
The accused used to take Rs 5 to 6 lakh from aspirants after promising them guaranteed selected in the examination, additional SP Tejpal Singh said.
The kingpin of the gang was identified as Sandeep Kumar.
The police have seized admit cards of several students from their possession, Singh said.
On Wednesday, Jodhpur police had arrested 11 people in this regard and seized cash worth Rs 4,09,500, some blank cheques, edited photographs of the applicants, stamp papers, computers, and mobile phones from their coaching centre.
