Opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly and senior congress leader Ramesh Chennithala today hailed the appointment of former Chief Minister Oommen chandy, as AICC General Secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh.
"This is a very intelligent decision taken by Congress President Rahul Gandhi", he said.
Chandy's appointment would strengthen the Congress in Andhra Pradesh.
It was also a recognition for Kerala, he said.
Chandy replaces Digvijaya Singh as the General Secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh.
