Chhatra stolen from Huaz Khas Sai Baba temple

The 'Chhatra' of a Sai Baba idol at a temple in Hauz Khas was stolen on the night of Holi, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday. Efforts are being made to arrest the culprit and recover the stolen item, a police officer said.
CCTV footage shows a man, whose face was covered, entering the temple, he said.
In another case of theft in a temple in outer Delhi on the same day, a man was arrested for stealing cash from three donation boxes, police said
The incident occurred at the Dada Mandu temple in Karala village.
Sandeep, 42, was caught within three hours of the theft being reported around 1.36 PM. He was identified through CCTV camera footage, Rajendra Singh Sagar, Additional DCP (outer), said.

Rs 10,055 was recovered from him, besides an iron rod and a chisel used to break open the locks, he added.
