Chief Minister Raman Singh, who also holds the finance portfolio, presented the third supplementarybudgetfor the current fiscal.
The mainbudgetwas of Rs67,546 crore, and includingthe three supplements, the budget size for the current fiscal has expanded to Rs 74,339 crore, he said.
"Compared to other states, Chhattisgarh's financial management is much better," he claimed.
The third supplementary budget includes Plan expenditure of Rs 1,155 crore and non-Plan expenditure of Rs 2,025 crore.
It includes capital expenditure of Rs 136 crore and revenue expenditure of Rs 2,404crore.
"Under the scheme, the farmers in villages with 50 per cent'anawari'(crop yield) who have repaid 75per centof the loan are being given 25 per cent waiver," he said.
The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna was completely funded by the Union government till recently, but after the change in sharingpatternof Centre-sponsored schemes, the ratio of Centre and state funding was60:40, and provision of Rs 80 crore has been made inthirdsupplementary budget for the scheme, he said.
An Indian Institute of Technology is being established at Sirsa Khurd village of Durg district. Premium and land lease rent for the land will be paid by Durg Municipal Corporation and Rs 17,35,000 has been provisioned in the third supplementary budget for this purpose, he said.
