"While expressing his concern over the issue of filing replies in time, Chief Secretary S K Srivastava said that NHRC cases are not being monitored properly by many departments.
"He said that notices received by the Home Department are being forwarded to the concerned departments for filing replies but it has been noticed in many cases that the replies are not filed on time resulting in adverse orders passed by NHRC in such cases," said a Delhi government official.
Further it has been decided that an unique ID shall be given for each NHRC case received by Home Department and the details of the departments to whom the cases are forwarded shall be entered in a management information system (MIS).
The MIS should facilitate generation of pre-defined alerts on the registered mobile numbers and e-mail IDs of the concerned officers (including those who are monitoring the same), the official said.
