A case under section 302 (punishment for murder) of IPC has been registered by the CID against unknown persons in connection with the exhumation of the remains of the two infants, a senior officer of the CID said today.
On November 25, the CID exhumed bodies of two infants from the campus of an NGO.
Dilip Ghosh, who earlier worked at the state-run R G Kar Medical College and Hospital and has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the case, was linked to the Baduria-based nursing home, the officer said.
So far, 20 persons, including four doctors, have been arrested by the CID in the case and 10 babies have been rescued from an old age home in Kolkata.
All the arrested have been booked under sections 369 (kidnapping or abducting child under 10 years), 370 (buying or disposing of any person as a slave) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
