Sporadic rainfall has occurred in various parts of Sikkim in past 24 hours, Meteorological Centre here said in a bulletin.
Though the sun shone brightly during the day, icy winds blowing from snow-capped higher altitude areas of the Himalayan state neutralised hope for improvement in chilly weather condition.
The Meteorological Centre has forecast fresh spell of snowfall tomorrow and day after it which is bound to deteriorate weather condition in Sikkim.
Gyalshing in West district was the coldest place in Sikkim with a minimum temperature of 4.9 degree Celsius followed by 5.1 in Gangtok, 5.9 at Namchi in South district and 7.4 degree Celsius at Mangan in North district.
