Paswan has cited media reports and enclosed a letter from a NIT student hailing from Bihar in his letter to Singh, according to a statement issued by the LJP leader today.
Mohammad Asad, a student, had written to the LJP MP, who is son of Cabinet Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, that non-local students on the campus were being "harassed physically and mentally" by the local students and the administration of the institute.
Media reports had said the students were beaten-up by a group of "locals" and the administration then decided to "shift" them to a hostel which was more "unsafe".
