"The event is to be held from January 10-13 next year. Estimated potential in the Middle East is about USD 30 billion and Africa USD 16 billion," Plastics Export Promotion Council (Plexconcil) said in a release.
The present share is about 3 per cent in both these regions. Plexconcil expects ARABPLAST to be a vehicle for enhancing this share, it added.
Plexconcil Executive Director R P Kalyanpur said: "This will help Indian companies to further expand their operations through a global platform like ArabPlast 2015. Around 150 companies from India are participating in this mega exhibition."
Over 34,000 visitors participants from 111 countries are expected to attend the show, the release said.
Plexconcil is a non-profit body under the Department of Commerce, to promote exports from the Indian plastic industry.
