The 33-year-old actor thrilled nine-year-old Kenny Botting when he made an appearance at the Christopher's Haven and gifted him presents and his autograph, reported People magazine.
Evans happily posed for photographs with him before taking a tour of the facility.
"It's their strength that gives me strength. No matter what hurdles are in my life, it's nothing compared to what these families go through, so any way I can bring a smile, it's worth it," said Evans.
"I am more than happy. I just want to say thank thanks for coming," Botting said.
