NBC has confirmed the 31-year-old actor's recruitment for the show, thus marking his first time ever hosting the series, reported Ace Showbiz.
In the particular episode, Zac Brown Band would be appearing as the musical guest. No further details on the much anticipated episode have been revealed.
Hemsworth's new movie 'In the Heart of the Sea', which was initially set to be released in early March, has been pushed back to Christmas.
He will be also be seen in the highly anticipated 'Avengers: Age of Ultron', slated to hit theatres on May 1 later this year.
