The Confederation of Indian Industry team led by its president Ajay S Shriram, also the Chairman of the DCM Shriram Group, aims at exploring business opportunities in one of the Gulf's most progressive and fastest growing financial centres.
"Indian industry sees Bahrain as one of the Gulf's most progressive and fastest growing financial centres. It has opened up compelling investment opportunities for Indian companies in diverse streams like metallurgical industries, physical infrastructure development, tourism promotion and infrastructure development among others," Shriram said.
"It is a matter of great honour, pride and privilege for us that the CII will be leading a high-powered delegation to the Arab Asia Business Summit 2014 in Bahrain," said Shaikha Noora, the Chairperson of the Arab-Asia Business Partnership Summit.
"Both our countries have been stepping up bilateral engagement with each other and CII's participation is sure to add a new dimension to the scope and purpose of this first- ever Arab Asia Business Partnership Summit," she said.
The Summit, comprising the Exhibition and the Conference, is also envisaged to serve as a potential launching pad for joint ventures and business partnerships, and a fertile ground for information exchange on funding programmes.
