CII delegation meets Bihar CM Nitish Kumar

A delegation of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) today called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and evinced interest to promote investment in food processing and farm machinery in the state.
During the meeting, the delegation told the Chief Minister "we want to promote investment in Bihar in food processing and farm machinery. We want to work in collaboration with the state industries department. Bihar has an excellent industrial policy which we will try to publicize so that investors get attracted to the state".
The CII team also proposed holding "investment meets" in the state following which the Chief Minister gave necessary instructions to the Principal Secretary of Industries Department, an official release said here.
The delegation comprised CII President Designate and Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises Rakesh Mittal, CII Chairman for eastern region Umesh Choudhary and Regional Director for East and North-East Neeta Karmakar, among others.
The delegation also presented the Chief Minister with a copy of the CII's journal.
Principal Secretary, Industries, S Siddharth and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Chanchal Kumar were also present on the occasion.
