CII to train young Omani entrepreneurs for promoting SMEs

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has put forward a proposal to train young Omani entrepreneurs for promoting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) Khalil Abdullah Al Khonji the proposal aims at training graduates to become entrepreneurs.
Speaking to Times of Oman on the sidelines of a meeting with a delegation from CII, Al Khonji said that discussions are underway to hold training workshops under chamber with the assistance of the Indian side.
This programme would be for entrepreneurs and a group of Omani SME promoters may be selected to travel to India as part of the scheme.
Commenting on the CII delegation's visit, Al Khonji said: "The difference between this delegation and others is that it is well-diversified and they are from the SME sector.Future is bright and we will always work with the CII.
