Lankau is currently a principal of Lankau Consulting LLC. He serves on the Board of Directors of ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc and Phosphagenics Ltd and also on the Board of Advisors of Orchard Venture Partners, a life sciences venture capital firm, Cipla said in a statement.
He was previously Executive Chairman of the Board for Nautilus Neurosciences Inc, Chairman and CEO of Logical Therapeutics Inc and President and CEO of Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc, it added.
Cipla Non-Executive Chairman Y K Hamied said: "Lankau brings with him a deep understanding of the US pharmaceutical market that will help us steer the future thinking of our company for this focus market".
