The entire amount was seized and the passengers were handed over to the airport customs, the CISF sources said today.
Yesterday at about 11.05 PM, during Pre-Embarkation Security Check at the international security hold area of the NSCBI Airport, CISF Assistant Sub-Inspector Deepak Singh noticed suspicious image of laptop chargers from the hand baggages of two passengers Sajjad Ali and Mohan Basu.
Sajjad Ali, aged about 24 yrs and Mohan Basu, aged about 51 yrs, were scheduled to travel to Singapore by flight No MI-487 at about 11.55 PM.
The matter was immediately informed to the senior officials of the CISF.
Later, both the passengers along-with the seized foreign currency were handed over to the Customs officials for follow-up action.
