CITU holds protest rallies in Punjab

Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) today held protest rallies at various places in Punjab and Chandigarh, demanding hike in wages and pensions for workers.
Protesters also submitted memorandum to the offices of Labour Commissioners.
CITU state secretary Raghunath Singh said our main demands are pension for all workers, minimum wage of Rs 10,000 and abolition of contract labour system.
Protest rallies were organised at various places, including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Rajpura, Patiala and Sangrur.
