Civic body polls in Uttarakhand tomorrow

Over 15 lakh voters in Uttarakhand will decide the fate of 3,753 candidates in the civic body polls being held across the state tomorrow.
Tight security arrangements have been made throughout the state with the deployment of 25 companies of the PAC, besides 46 DSPs, 800 inspectors and over 3,000 home guards to ensure peaceful polling, officials said here today.
The civic body elections will see six municipal corporations, 28 municipal boards and 35 nagar panchayats going to the polls.
A total of 15,34635 voters will exercise their franchise when polling begins at 8 AM tomorrow at 1,685 polling stations across the state, they said.
