Superintendent of Police, City, Rajiv Malhotra said that an FIR has been registered in this regard against a youth under Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and for eve teasing.
It was alleged that the youth had indulged in eve-teasing and tried to molest a girl studying in class ninth last night. The girl raised an alarm and locals gathered on the spot.
Later, the boy allegedly attacked the girl's house with his friends leading to brick batting from both sides.
Police are trying to arrest the accused.
