Mahendra Singh and Jairam had dispute over six bigha land in Gandhinagar village and the matter is sub-judice, it said.
Yesterday, both the parties clashed over crop during which Mahendra along with three others allegedly opened fire on Jairam, Ram Avtaar, Vijay and Ramlal and assaulted them with rods, police said.
The injured have been admitted to district hospital, where condition of two was stated to be serious, it said.
Police said that a case has been lodged and two persons have been detained.
