Abhijeet Mukherjee, the clerk in the office of the Burdwan district chief medical officer, was arrested after the block medical office of Raina-two filed a complaint against him for embezzlement of fund to the tune of Rs three lakh during his previous posting there.
District superintendent of police S M H Mirza said Mukherjee was arrested on the basis of the complaint and forwarded him to a court which remanded him to ten days of police custody.
