The Assistant grade-II clerk, Manish Singh, posted at BEO Dongargarh, was caught with the sum after he demanded the bribefrom the complainant to clear his salary, an ACB official told PTI.
The complainant, an Assistant Teacher (Panchayat), approached the agency as his hiked salary between February 16 and March 31, 2016 after he was promoted as Teacher was pending for which he contacted Singh who sought Rs 5000, but later agreed to accept Rs 4000.
Singh was trapped when he was accepting Rs 2000, the first instalment of the bribe at his office in Dongargarh, the official said.
