Shyamal Chakaravarty, the UDC, allegedly collected Rs two lakh each from 10 candidates assuring them job in Group D, CBI said.
"A case was registered on a complaint. It was alleged that the UDC, working in the Ministry of Water Resources, Delhi had demanded a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh each from 10 candidates for providing them a Group D (MTS) job in the Ministry of Finance," CBI spokesperson said.
She said Rs 6.5 lakh was allegedly paid by the candidates to the accused and the rest was to be paid after they get the job.
