He requested the university authorities to make a comprehensive plan to develop the university and assured to personally take up the issue with the Union Human Resource Development minister Prakash Javadekar.
All facilities for imparting education will be available at the Tripura Central University and it will become an acclaimed university in the country and abroad, the chief minister said.
"It is my dream to make Tripura university like the famed ancient university at Nalanda which had all the facilities for imparting and receiving education," Deb said after inaugurating the Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching programme at the university campus.
