Maintaining that transparency in the selection process should be ascertained according to the spirit of the Food Security Ordinance, the Chief Minister said steps should be taken so that eligible persons are not deprived of the scheme's benefits.
Presiding over the review meeting of preparation for implementation of the Food Security Ordinance here at the CMR here, Gehlot said 69 per cent rural population and 53 per cent urban population with a total of 90 lakh people will be provided food security under the Ordinance.
The Chief Minister also directed on simplification of set standard for eligibility so that eligible persons find it easy in filling forms.
Food and Civil supplies minister Parsadi Lal Meena, Education minister Brij Kishore Sharma and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
