The company was allocated Kesla North coal block in Korba, Chhattisgarh on August 5, 2008.
The agency in its charge sheet filed before Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar alleged that members of screening committee and company officials had connived and favour was show for allocation of the coal block to the company over other better placed applicants.
"Fresh charge sheet has been filed. It be checked and registered. Part arguments have been heard. Matter be now put up on February 26, 2015 for consideration," the judge said.
On June 19, 2013, CBI had registered a FIR against the company naming its Chief Executive Officer Udit Rathi and other unknown person for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating and for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
It also said that company had proposed to have 0.75 million tonnes per annum capacity for their steel plant, for which block was sought, whereas when it was allocated the capacity remained unutilised.
