Cochin Shipyard profit rises 25.9% to Rs 113.76 cr

Cochin Shipyard today posted 25.9 per cent rise in profit at Rs 113.76 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2017, on back of higher income.
It had posted a profit Rs 90.35 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Cochin Shipyard's total income increased to Rs 666.04 crore, against Rs 619.26 crore in the year-ago period, the filing said.
The total expenses of the company during the quarter increased marginally to Rs 489.98 crore, against Rs 481.53 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.
Shares of the company closed Rs 1.65, or 0.32 per cent, higher at Rs 521.85 on BSE.
