The maximum and minimum temperatures in the national capital were recorded two degrees below normal at 26.5 degree Celsius and 9.8 degree Celsius respectively, MeT department said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 24.2 degree Celsius, while the minimum was at 10.8 degree Celsius a degree below normal.
The humidity level oscillated between 97 per cent and 39 per cent.
Minimum temperatures in Punjab and Haryana hovered a few notches below normal, with Ludhiana recording the lowest temperature in the two states at 8.3 degree Celsius, two notches below normal.
The hills of Himachal Pradesh had marginal relief from piercing cold wave conditions, which abated due to rise of two to four degrees Celsius in maximum day temperatures.
The maximum temperatures stayed two to seven degrees above normal as the region had bright sunshine while minimum temperatures rose by one to three degrees.
Shimla recorded a high of 19.1 degrees, 7.5 degrees above normal.
The minimum temperatures improved by one to two degrees to stay at -3.5 degrees and -3 degrees at Keylong and Kapla in tribal districts of Lahaul and Spiti and Kinnaur.
