Cold conditions prevail in Raj, Churu coldest at 3.9 degrees

Severe cold conditions today prevailed in parts of Rajasthan where Churu recorded the coldest place with a minimum temperature of 3.9 degrees Celsius.
Biting cold waves persisted in other parts of the state with Jaipur, Sikar and Pilani recording night temperatures of 4, 5 and 5.3 degrees Celsius respectively.
Mount Abu and Bikaner recorded 5.4 degree Celsius last night, according to a MeT report here.
Jaisalmer, Barmer, Srigangangar and Kota also recorded minimum of 7.6 degrees, 8.6 degrees, 8.7 degrees and 10.9 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, 11 trains were running late upto 2 hours 25 minutes under north-western railway due to dense fog, according to a NWR spokesperson.
