The explosion had occurred on March 15 after leak of ammonia from Katiyar Cold Storage's gas chamber, causing parts of the building to collapse.
Five labourers had been killed and another eight suffered serious injuries. Officials yesterday had not ruled out the possiblity of more people being trapped under the debris.
According to the post-mortem report of the deceased, four labourers hailing from had died due to head injuries, which they likely suffered due to the collapse of the roof. One died due to suffocation.
The bodies of four labourers hailing from Bihar have been sent to their homes, chief medical officer Dr Ramayan Prasad said. He added that the injured are being treated and their condition is now stable.
Kanpur District Magistrate Kaushal Raj Sharma said the work to clear the debris ended last night adding that the personnel of the NDRF and the Army had already left the spot. No injured person or body was pulled out.
The cold storage in Shivrajpur did not have a license and three people, including its owner, have been booked in the case. An inspection has been ordered at the storage and three other such facilities in nearby areas.
