Cold wave claims life of beggar

A 35-year-old street-beggar died, suspectedly of cold, at Mango area of Jamshedpur, police said today.
The incident took place last night and the body was found from beside a police picket in Mango area and has been sent to M G M Hospital for post-mortem, police said.
Meanwhile, Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas continue to reel under cold wave.
The minimum temperature today dipped to 8.2 degrees Celsius, which was below four degrees normal, while the maximum temperature is at 26.6 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
